This Privacy Policy explains how Date Night (“Date Night,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information when you use the Date Night mobile application (the “App”).

Information stored on your device

Your favorite cards, saved date plans, onboarding status, and other preferences are stored locally on your device. Date Night does not require an account. We do not send the text of cards you view or save, the contents of your date plans, or information identifying your partner to our analytics providers.

Subscriptions and purchases

Purchases are processed by Apple. We use RevenueCat to manage subscription access and Superwall to present and analyze paywalls. These providers receive information such as an anonymous app user identifier, product identifier, purchase and subscription status, paywall interactions, and app or device information needed to provide, restore, and understand premium access. We do not receive your payment card or bank information.

App events and advertising measurement

We use the TikTok App Events SDK to understand how the App is used and to measure and improve advertising campaigns. The SDK receives:

• App events, including app install or launch, onboarding completion, deck opened (using the deck identifier), date-plan generation, partner-invite sharing, and a confirmed subscription purchase.
• For confirmed purchases, the product identifier, price, and currency.
• Technical information such as an anonymous identifier, device or vendor identifier, IP address, user agent, locale or country, operating-system version, device model, and app version.
• SDK diagnostic information, which may include initialization or request performance, error details, and crash information related to the TikTok SDK.

TikTok may use app-event information for analytics, campaign attribution and measurement, audience creation, retargeting, and campaign optimization. This means certain app-event, purchase, and device information may be linked with information TikTok receives from other apps, websites, or offline sources for advertising or advertising-measurement purposes. On Apple devices, Date Night requests permission through App Tracking Transparency before initializing the TikTok SDK or transferring this information to TikTok. If you decline, the TikTok SDK remains disabled.

Privacy safeguards in the current App

• Date Night requests Apple’s App Tracking Transparency permission before enabling TikTok advertising measurement. If permission is not granted, Date Night does not initialize the TikTok SDK or send app-event data to TikTok.
• TikTok automatic payment tracking is disabled. Date Night reports a purchase event only after RevenueCat confirms the purchase.
• TikTok enhanced data postback is disabled. We do not send the App’s view hierarchy, button labels, or on-screen card and plan text through that feature.
• We do not provide TikTok with your name, email address, phone number, Date Night account information, card text, favorites, plan details, or partner identity.

When you contact us

If you email us or submit feedback, we receive the information you choose to provide, such as your email address and message. We use it to respond to you, provide support, and improve the App.

How information is shared

We share information only as described in this policy, including with:

• Apple, to process App Store purchases and provide Apple platform services.
• RevenueCat, to manage subscriptions and premium access.
• Superwall, to present paywalls and measure paywall performance.
• TikTok, for app analytics, attribution, advertising measurement, and optimization.
• Authorities or other parties when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect rights and safety, prevent fraud, or address security issues.

Retention

Local preferences remain on your device until you remove them or delete the App. RevenueCat, Superwall, and TikTok retain information according to their applicable terms, policies, and legal obligations. We retain support communications only as long as reasonably necessary to respond, maintain records, resolve disputes, and comply with law.

Your choices and rights

You may delete locally stored App information by deleting the App. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. To make a request, contact us using the address below.

Children’s privacy

The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information to us, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the App or our practices change. We will post the revised policy here and update the date at the top of the page.
